Textile Diversion Program

The City of Timmins is partnering with Recycling Rewards to increase diversion of textiles from our landfill. A Textile Collection Depot is being held during the Household Hazardous and Special Waste event on June 15, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Spruce Snow Dump on Spruce St. **NEW LOCATION**

Directions: take Pine Street S., then head east on Iroquois Road. Follow the one-way traffic to the drop-off point, exiting on Spruce Street South.

Acceptable items:

  • clothing
  • sewing fabric
  • footwear
  • linens
  • towels
  • hats
  • toys
  • games and puzzles
  • stationary and office supplies
  • tableware (dishes)
  • cookware
  • small appliances like curling irons and blow dryers
  • home décor and seasonal home décor
  • scarves
  • belts
  • household items
  • damaged or ripped textiles

Gently Used Home and Household Donations

Donations will directly support the Cornerstone to Recovery, a non-profit, charitable agency that provides community-based recovery programs for individuals and families experiencing and impacted by addiction. Creating a connection between those wishing to part with unwanted reusable goods and those in need of them.
