Paratransit Service

Timmins Transit On-Demand is a door to door transportation service for persons with permanent or short-term disabilities, which prevent them from being able to use Timmins Transit's regular, fixed-route transit service.

Passengers must be registered to use the service. The eligibility guidelines state that this transit service is intended for persons who are physically unable to climb or descend steps, or who are unable to walk a distance of 175 meters.

An Eligibility Committee will review the application and, if approved, you will be advised in writing.

Paratransit Service is available through the Timmins Transit On-Demand smartphone app . The app makes booking an accessible ride fast and convenient.

Paratransit users can request and pay for shared-ride, curb-to-curb service. The app eliminates the need for advanced reservation and provides real-time trip notifications, making it easier to plan travel.

Hours of Service

Timmins Transit On-Demand service is provided during the following hours:

Monday to Friday: 6:30 am to 11:30 pm
Saturday: 6:30 am to 11:30 pm
Sunday:8:30 am to 7:30 pm

No service on Statutory Holidays

The Timmins Transit On-Demand office is located at 54 Spruce Street South and is open during the following hours:

Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 pm. Closed Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays
