Pay to ride the bus with the Pay YOUR Way app!
The Pay YOUR Way mobile app is the digital version of the Pay YOUR Way reloadable fare card and is free to download from the App Store or Google Play.
Before boarding the bus, riders will open the app on their smartphone to generate a QR code. It's now ready to scan on the farebox. The QR code appears for 20 seconds before it expires. If the QR code disappears before being scanned, riders can generate another QR code. No fare is deducted from the account until the QR code has been scanned.
**Please note that payment with regular cash fare, reloadable, or disposable cards is also available.

Use the Pay YOUR Way app to purchase monthly passes, rides, 10-ride passes, and load e-cash.

1. Download the Pay YOUR Way mobile app from the Apple Store or Google Play.
2. Click the "Sign Up" link to create your profile.
3. Select the appropriate account type (adult, student, senior, ODSP reduced fare)
**PLEASE NOTE - Senior, Student, and ODSP reduced fair accounts will require activation by Timmins Transit. Please provide proof of eligibility (including proof of age) in person at the Timmins Transit terminal on Spruce St. S.
4. An email with a confirmation link will be sent to you. Click on the confirmation link.
5. Log into the app and fill out the account information. Review and accept the terms and conditions and collection and sharing of information and click 'Save'.
6. You may now proceed to use the app.
The mobile app and the reloadable cards have separate account platforms.
From the app, you can purchase a single ride, e-rides (10 rides), or a monthly pass.
1. To purchase a fare, tap on the shopping care and select single ride, e-ride, or e-pass.
2. Click 'checkout' and fill in your payment information. Tap the 'Pay' button. The app accepts credit card or debit Visa/Mastercard payments.
3. Your receipt will be displayed and sent to your email. Tap the 'Back to Home' button.
When you're ready to board the bus, tap the 'Generate QR Code' button from the home screen and scan or tap the QR code on the QR barcode reader on the top OR front of the farebox. The QR code is valid for 20 seconds. If your QR code expires before you've boarded the bus, simply generate a new QR code. You will only be charged for the QR code that is scanned.
1-Hour Automatic Transfers
Each QR code comes with a 1-hour automatic transfer. When you need to transfer buses, generate a new QR code and scan it on the farebox. You will NOT be charged for another ride until the 1-Hour transfer has expired, after 60 minutes. To verify time remaining on your transfer, go to your history to determine the time you purchased your ride. You can use your transfer from any bus stop in the Timmins Transit network.
