The City of Timmins is updating its Culture, Tourism and Recreation (CTR) Master Plan, originally prepared in 2014, to guide the future direction in planning recreational, cultural, and tourism facilities, programs and services.
The updated CTR Master Plan will celebrate the City's successes to date and address future needs and opportunities for recreation, sports, culture, and tourism. The Plan will also guide future investment in facilities, programs, services, and partnerships.
The City of Timmins has commissioned Sierra Planning and Management to review and update the Master Plan. The principal objectives of the program are to determine community priorities and develop a series of recommendations and actions to accommodate the current and future recreational, cultural, and tourism opportunities for the City of Timmins.
Master Plan Scope:
The City's CTR Master Plan will be a guiding document that looks at current and future plans for City indoor and outdoor facilities, sports venues, parks and playgrounds, aquatics, cultural events and programming, tourism assets and more. It is a detailed plan that encompasses all facets of culture, tourism, and recreation that is managed at the municipal level.
