What is Fire Prevention Week?
This year Fire Prevention Week celebrates 100 Years of Fire Safety. Since 1922 Fire Prevention Week has been observed on the Sunday through Saturday period in which October 9th falls. Created in commemoration of the Great Chicago Fire, Fire Prevention Week is dedicated to educating and informing the public on the importance of fire prevention and safety.
