Bio:

Born and raised in Timmins, I have immense pride for our northern community. As a Franco-Ontarian, I’m happy to live in a city where francophone heritage is still vibrant and celebrated.

I have over a decade of experience working as director, manager, support staff and part-time professor in the postsecondary education sector. Prior to my election as mayor, I worked as the Employment & Immigration Services Manager for a local community college. I have a Master of Research (M. Res.) degree in Educational and Social Research from the University of London (UK), as well as an Honours Bachelor’s (Hon. B.A.) degree from the University of Ottawa.

Elected to the municipal council in the City of Timmins in 2018, I have been honored to serve on several community boards and committees. I also have the privilege to chair the Northern Ontario Service Deliverers Association (NOSDA), as well as the Association française des municipalités de l’Ontario (AFMO).

My most cherished role is being the mother to my daughter, Rosalie, and son, Felix. My husband, Andrew Morrish, grew up in South Porcupine and is a licensed carpenter who is proudly building Northern Ontario. Some of my favourite things about Timmins include the area’s natural beauty, the accessibility to an array of fun outdoor activities, the economic opportunities and potential for growth, and mostly, the City’s culturally diverse and resilient population.
