The function of the Clerk’s Department is to provide information and service to the public, Council, city departments, outside agencies, businesses, media, and provincial and federal governments on matters relating to municipal government. They are also responsible for conducting transparent elections; efficiently maintaining corporate records; delivering effective municipal law enforcement services; providing information on municipal legislation, and management services of the municipal cemeteries, crossing guards, and parking control.
