Needle Pick Up

The City of Timmins is responsible for picking up discarded needles and syringes (drug-related litter) on public property. Public property includes roads, sidewalks, boulevards, municipal parks, and trails. 

Collection is carried out by Public Works and Maintenance during regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

 

To report a discarded needle or syringe:

  • Service Timmins - call 705-264-1331 or visit Service Timmins in person at City Hall, Monday to Friday between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
  • Online through our Customer Service Portal - click Needle Pick Up.

Outdoor needle drop boxes are a safe and convenient way to dispose of used needles and syringes.
