How to vote online for the 2022 Municipal Election
You can vote online between October 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. until polls close on October 24, 2022.
Online voting is a fast and convenient way to vote. This one-step process can be done from your computer, tablet, or smartphone. To vote, all you need is your voter information letter and access to the internet.
You can also vote online from one of our Online Kiosks at the following locations:
Clerk's Department, City Hall, 220 Algonquin Blvd. E., Timmins
Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. until non and 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Staff will be available to assist voters at all locations. It is advised to not wait until the last minute on Election Day to cast your vote. Should there be any technical issues on Election Day, time will not be extended.
How to vote:
- Before online voting begins, you will receive a Voter's Information Letter in the mail. This letter belongs to you. It is personalized, confidential and should not be shared with anyone.
- To vote online, find your Online Voting Pin located on your Voter's Information Letter.
- Visit Timmins.ca and click on "Vote Now" from the website homepage. This will redirect you to the City's secure online voting site.
- You will log in using your Online Voter ID and Voter PIN.
- Once you are signed in, you can cast your vote for Mayor, your ward councillor, and applicable school board trustees.
If you are an eligible voter who has moved since the last municipal election in 2018, make sure you are on the Voter’s List and that your information is correct. This can be done in-person at Service Timmins, both public library locations, or at the Timmins Museum during regular business hours.

If you lose your personal Voting Pin, contact the City of Timmins Clerk's Department immediately to get a new Voting PIN (the old PIN will be deactivated).
Never share your Voting PIN - it’s unique to you (municipal staff, candidates and law enforcement officials should never ask for it)
It’s illegal to vote using a Voting PIN that is not yours
You can’t vote more than once in a municipality, no matter how many voting days there are or how many properties you own/rent.
Never post a photo or selfie with your ballot on social media.
