Reduced load restrictions for commercial motor vehicles and trailers are pending. The City’s Public Works Department is currently monitoring weather forecasts and road conditions to determine when restrictions will be put in place. The restrictions, which are regulated by By-law 2006-6275, can be called into effect any time after March 1 to protect road infrastructure during the spring thaw.
Drivers of commercial motor vehicles and trailers should be prepared to adhere to road restrictions on specific highways and streets within the City of Timmins in the coming weeks.
By-law 2006-6275 provides a list of the applicable roads under Schedule A.
